TIME: 6:30 p.m. (Begins on North Broad Street near Wilbur Chocolate Museum & Store)

Thursday, July 3, 2008: 3rd of July Parade
through the streets of Lititz, PA: 6:30 p.m.

The parade is the start of the Fourth of July Celebration sponsored by Lititz Springs Park,
one of the oldest continuous independence day celebration in our country.

 
The Parade should reach the downtown area around 7 p.m.
Lion members will be distributing
commemorative balloons to the youngsters along the parade route.

2008 PARADE ROUTE INFORMATION:

The parade will form on West Lincoln Ave and Warwick Streets.  It will start at Klene Street and Broad Street (at Wilbur Chocolate Museum).  Entrants to the parade should come in from the west side on Lincoln Ave since Broad St will be closed for the parade.  Look for signs for parking areas and formation spots on Lincoln and Warwick.

The parade will start  just north of the Wilbur Chocolate Museum at the Corner of Klene and North Broad.  The parade will go south on Broad Street turning left onto Third Avenue to Cedar Street and then going North on Cedar to Main Street.  The parade will go down Main Street back to Broad Street.  The parade will then proceed back to the starting point at the corner of Klene and North Broad.  The total route is about two (2) miles.

Please be aware that the parade will not start at the High School and will not go down Orange, Spruce, or
part of Second Street.

Parade Rules

Free Evening of Entertainment in the Park!

Scheduled to appear: Back by popular demand Flamin Dick and the Hot Rods.

Immediately after parade (Approx. 8 p.m.) a free entertainment program
at the Paul E. Beck Memorial Band Shell in Lititz Springs Park
The Lititz Lions Club and the Lititz Jaycees will be serving food in the Park the evening of the Parade.
